Emily

Emily is getting so big! She has a great personality! She is so expressive and always smiling! Here are some pics of her from the last week. She loves trying to put on her shoes and is now taking off her clothes, and tries to even zip zippers. She had her first boo boo the other day. She tripped and fell and hit her head on the couch leg. She makes us laugh everyday! She loves to dance and sing, anytime the radio comes on or even just a commercial with music she will start bopping her head and swinging her arms! She is such a little ham!

Lake Waterford Park

Today was a beautiful day here in Maryland. It was 67 degrees!!! We packed up a lunch for ourselves and headed to Lake Waterford Park, which is just about 2 minutes from our house. We had our lunch and then went for walk down to the lake. We saw all the leaves and the ducks. The lake was frozen solid for the most part, the ducks had found the one spot that was not frozen.
Emily loved playing with the dead leaves! I think she liked the crinkly sounds! After we walked to the lake, we headed back to the play ground. Emily went down the slide all by herself. I don't think she really liked it though. Then she went on the swing. She loved it! She kept saying, "OOOHHHHH!!! COOOLLLL!!!" We will have to go back again on the next good day here!

January 2009

I have decided that we need to have a family blog! We used to have our web page, but lost it after a mishap with some red wine and a fried computer! :) So we will try this out on here! It is a new year and January is almost already over. Emily is getting bigger everyday and is learning new things daily! She is such a loving and happy little girl. She is trying to talk, and is constantly chatting away. She even laughs at her own little jokes! We wish we new what she was saying, but I am sure that will come soon. She loves her doll, which happens to be my old cabbage patch kid that my mom saved. She will carry it around for hours, put it in the swing, in the Bumbo, or even the car seat! She hugs her and kisses her and even will sit with her and play with the hair on the dolly's head! She is becoming very independent and has to do everything on her own! She is even trying to dress herself!
My daycare is going great! I absolutely love it!!! I watch a little boy who is 4 months old, Gavin, and 2 kids, Emma, 6, and Connor, 8, who come before and after school. Emi loves Connor!  She will follow him around and has to be doing whatever the older kids are doing. She is learning so much from them. She also just loves Gavin! She will walk up to him and try to give him a binky or give him hugs or head butts! Her head butts are her way of giving a kiss! :)
We had our first snow this year! It was really pretty, but turned to one big ice cube this morning. I hope we get some more so we can go out and enjoy it more!
Well, I plan on keeping this updated regualrly! I hope that you stop by and enjoy reading about what we are up to!

Here are some pictures from this week.
